The connection of titanium and copper is mostly used in the case of conducting current. In the production of electrolytic nickel, a large number of titanium plates are used as cathode plates (seed plates). The connection between the titanium seed plate and the copper ear is mostly rivet connection. The electrode plate of this connection method has a short service life. The connection surface is susceptible to pollution and oxidation during use, which leads to the continuous decline of the conductivity of the connection and ultimately affects the electrolytic nickel The use of resistance brazing technology can realize the reliable connection of titanium seed plates and copper ears. Resistance brazing heats quickly, the productivity is high, the impact on the surrounding heat is small, the working conditions are good, and it is easy to realize the automation of production.
Titanium seed plate material is TA2 industrial pure titanium, copper ear material is T2 copper, the brazing material used is BAg50CuZn foil, the flux used is paste Q102, the use temperature is 600 ~ 650 ℃.

Before brazing, the base material is processed into a sample of 15mm × 15mm × 3mm. The sample is polished on water sandpaper by lap method. After removing the surface layer, it is cleaned in ultrasonic cleaning solution for about 20 minutes and then quickly blown with a hair dryer. Blow dry, choose water-cooled electrode, the end face is flat, argon gas protection during brazing, apply flux evenly to the connection surface of the workpiece before welding, then add the material, and the passivation welding process is carried out by secondary power supply.

The pin seam area after welding is mainly composed of the intermediate brazing filler layer and the diffusion layer of the brazing filler metal near the base material. Defects such as unwelded. The brazing filler metal and the base metal alloy elements diffuse well: the interface between the upper part of the brazing joint and the diffusion layer of the base metal molybdenum has been completely fused, and there is no obvious defect.
