After the plastic processing of titanium, a series of post-processing operations to meet the final requirements of users on the surface quality, size, shape and certain properties of titanium materials are collectively called finishing. In other words, the overall process of post-processing is finishing.
It can be seen from the process flow when processing titanium materials that different plastic processing technologies require different finishing processes for titanium materials; different types of titanium materials have different finishing processes after processing. In practice, the finishing process can only be designed according to actual needs.
However, in general, finishing operations include heat treatment, surface cleaning, cutting, straightening, surface treatment, inspection, marking, packaging and other processes. For wire and strip should also include coiling and uncoiling shear. In order to expand the product variety, the product surface treatment can also be included in the finishing range. The following is a brief introduction to the above process:
(1) Heat treatment. The process of heating, cooling and heat preservation to improve the microstructure, residual stress state and mechanical properties of titanium materials. There are various heat treatment methods, which are carried out by general technical users.
(2) Surface purification. The titanium material after plastic processing is often taught to be attached with oil, and some are coated with oxide scale, which must be degreased and descaled. These oxide scales are very firmly attached to the outer surface of the drink, and it is often necessary to remove them according to different thicknesses of the oxide scale. Sometimes it is necessary to use alkaline washing and acid washing to achieve the purpose of surface purification.
(3) Cut off. After plastic processing of titanium, the special products are cut according to the size requirements. At this time, the irregularities at both ends or both sides of the product can be removed to obtain the required size. When the local defects of the titanium material cannot be repaired seriously, the defects should also be removed. Plates and strips are usually cut by shearing machines, and pipes are cut by sawing machines.
(4) Straightening. The process of correcting shape defects after plastic processing of titanium. Shape defects such as floating titanium plates, bent or twisted titanium tubes, all need to be corrected to make it straight and neat.
(5) Surface treatment. Because titanium is sensitive to notches, surface defects in the production process, such as cracks and getter layers, should be removed in a timely manner by grinding and other methods to prevent further deepening during the deformation process. At the same time, in order to color the titanium surface, oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, wear resistance and surface activity improvement, surface treatment is sometimes required.
(6) Take up. It is a process of winding button tape and titanium wire into a roll. To facilitate storage and transportation, products are supplied in rolls. The winding is performed on the winding machine.
(7) Unwinding and shearing. The process of opening the rolled titanium wire or titanium tape, and smoothing and shearing it into a single sheet or narrow strip or small titanium wire coil required by the user.
(8) Detection. In order to ensure that the products meet the standards or meet the requirements of users, the finished products before sale are inspected for size, shape and surface defects. The detected defects shall be repaired, repaired, cut off or rejected according to the situation. At the same time, non-destructive testing should be added to the mechanical properties and microstructure of the drill material for sampling and testing, as well as for the inspection of the joint. At the same time, a qualified report is issued to the customer.
(9) logo. In order to facilitate the user to use and transport, and to track the quality of products, all products should be marked. The logo can be printed directly on the product, and at the same time the logo is tied to the product. Because beverage materials are valuable products, there should be a printed logo on each product. The content of the sign should include the brand name, specifications, batch number, factory standard, etc.
(10) Packaging. In order to facilitate product transportation. And to prevent the towel from damaging the product during transportation, it needs to be bundled and packed before leaving the factory. The method of bundling differs depending on the product. For example, profiles and bars with small cross-sections can be bundled or made into discs; strips and wires can be made into rolls; plates and pipes should be packed and protected with wooden boards or thin steel plates.
Finishing is very important. It is a guarantee to make the product quality, geometry and weaving performance meet the standard requirements after making titanium. When the processed titanium material is carefully sorted and packaged through this series of post-processing (ie finishing), its quality can be recognized by users. Therefore, finishing is also a “face project”, a plastic repair process.
