In recent years, the vapor deposition technology has developed rapidly, and the vacuum plating process is one of them. Among many vacuum-plated metal and non-metal coatings, the titanium nitride film is most widely used for its high hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and good decorative properties.
The defective film layer in mass production should be removed in time, and then re-plated. Now we will introduce some of the deplating methods applied by an enterprise.
Method one: Place the parts to be plated neatly in the container, pour 30% hydrogen peroxide, immerse the plated parts, and then slowly add granular sodium hydroxide (reagent grade). At this time, bubbles will be generated in the solution until the film layer is removed, and then rinsed with water and dried. It should be noted that sodium hydroxide must be added gradually during the operation, otherwise a large number of bubbles will escape due to the intense reaction.
Method 2: Immerse the parts in the V (HNO3): V (HF) = 1: 1 stripping solution, the film will be gradually removed. After removing the layer, immediately wash with water and then dry to prevent the stripping solution from generating the substrate corrosion. For a small number of stripped parts, it can also be wiped repeatedly with cotton yarn dipped in stripping solution to remove the film, and then cleaned and dried.
